Description
Antonov is one of the Ukraine’s most well known companies. They have a history of producing some of the worlds most rugged, well known aircraft. The AN-2 biplane is perhaps they’re most famous aircraft, and it can still be found all over the world. The AN-14 was meant to replace the AN-2. Its looks were ‘unconventional’ and despite its easy to fly demeanour, it never managed to truly replace the AN-2, and the last of the 300 produced rolled off the line in 1972, ending a 7-year production run. This pin is a throwback to the original AN-14 that premiered at the Moscow Airshow in 1967. It’s a cute little pin for a somewhat interesting aircraft, and somewhat rare as a result.
