Hapag Lloyd was another one of those great German charter airlines. Their distinctive bright Orange tail was a common sight throughout Europe’s top beach locations. The livery stayed for over 30 years until it was bought out by TUI and rebranded to the TUI blue. The airline disappeared completely in 2007 when Tui merged it with another subsidiary to become TUI Deutschland, which is a real shame.
