The Airbus A380 has proved to be both a great aircraft and a huge white elephant. Airbus designed the A380 to be the ultimate ‘Hub to Hub’ aircraft, a massive people mover that would connect the world. Sadly the world it was planned for never came to pass, and almost all the airlines that took the giant aircraft on struggled to fill her. Had it not been for Emirates, it’s conceivable the A380 would have been cancelled years ago. Today, in the post-pandemic world, the A380 is finding itself parked up, or even scrapped.
This pin shows the A380 in her original Airbus test livery. The enamelled pin is 45mm x 12mm. It’s in great condition and would be a great addition to any Airbus collection.
